Hi, the Kef KHT 2005.2 Egg System is available on Ebay, brand new, for £649 including delivery, and no charge for Paypal payment.

If you are interested, go to http://www.ebay.co.uk and enter Kef in the search box.

    Cheers.

Very Tempting. I see they have enhanced Paypal protection but I thought Kef did not allow any distance selling of their systems so how has a company obtained and is also able to offer a years guarantee on this system.
    No I am not a Kef agent.

    Hi.
I ordered 5 kef eggs off that seller(didnt need sub). arrived in less than 24 hours.
Excellent service and the seller knocked quite a bit off without the sub.:)

I have ordered these already - I think the offer was too good to miss.

I did ask them about how they were able to discount them, knowing Kef's policy of not allowing them to be sold at anything other than list price - they informed me that they had purchased stock from Europe (same spec as UK) and that they would be covering the guarantee themselves - they pointed out that Kef's no discounting policy in the UK is actually illegal, and I believe they are correct in that statement, as we have laws against retail price maintenance.

I am sitting here just now awaiting delivery and am looking forward to setting them up tonight.

    Martin Cairney.

Please let us know how you get on mjcairney as I really want to place a bid order but am being held back by previous experiences of fraud encountered on eBay.

They arrived today - ordered Saturday, City Link attempted to deliver yesterday, nobody in, returned with them today - no problem.

    Cheers,

No chance of that happening, do you know how extortionate ebay's fees are?

Approximately 5% and then another 5% for PayPal.

Thanks mjcairney. OK anyone want to tell me how Krishav are able to sell at 599. Are they importing them as well? Also what are they like to do business with?

Just noticed that the ebay listing shows the sub as PSW-2010 whereas Krishav call it the PSW-2000. Anyone know the difference here? I'm getting a headache.

If Krish are selling the MK2 at that, and on the web.

They are either about to be hung drawn and quartered by the KEF or they are grey. Any dealer stupid enough to break their agreement like that will do a lot of business for a short space of time!

KEF can't do anything about price, and there are a lot of dealers who will do deals, but they CAN do something about the internet selling. I think we will see by the amount of time the deal is on for.

Having said that and in the interest of fairness, it does seem like a good deal if they are 'OK'

They look like silver to me in the picture ?

Seriously though, the ebay ones are European import anyway aren't they ?...and God knows who on earth you are dealing with there.

Krish AV are an A1 shop, pukka prices, pukka service as well, you won't go wrong with them.

I'd guess the model number of the sub is just wrong on the site

30Hz output and 10" drive match the 2010 not the 2000

I ordered mine from Krish last week, absolutEly thrilled to pieces with them, perfect condition, sounds fantastic. Only complaint I'd have is I had to pay £35 for next day delivery, but I was ready to pay £700 for these so still saved myself £65!

I've used Krish before and they are very professional and fast. Go get em while you still can.

    ;)

Well, as I said yesterday, the ones I ordered from the Ebay site arrived yesterday, and I installed them last night - they are great. It seems some people have huge hang-ups about dealing on Ebay - I am not a seasoned Ebay'er, but have done about half a dozen deals and, so far, not a single problem - some might say I have been lucky, and maybe I have, but we can only go by our own experiences.

I am glad I have got my Eggs anyway, and would not hesitate recommending them to anyone who is interested.

DVDcake - go ahead and get them, they are superb, and even arrived with a UK 3-pin square plug for use in this country.

    Cheers.

These are the originals, I think, and not the version 2.

The version 2 are an improved version of the original Eggs. Better sound quality etc.

The V2 also has a greatly improved subwoofer. I was talking to a professional installer mate who reckons that the original subs have a tendency to fry when driven hard. I'm not sure what their replacement policy is under warranty, but it's certainly as risk for 2nd hand units.

As previously stated, the Mk.2 eggs both look and sound better than the Mk.1's, but the main difference is the much improved sub-woofer, both in terms of output, performance and reliability. If you can afford the extra £200, definately go for the Mk.2's.
Also, I can confirm what others say about Krish-AV. The service I got from them was 1st class. They will also 'negotiate' on next day delivery charges, if you are buying more than one item.

When I enquired at Hyperfi a couple of weeks ago they had all gone. They did have some of the special edition ones with the bigger 3000 sub for either £599 or £699 (senior memory)
