    Hi All,

I'm thinking of buying this speaker package for my home cinema setup and was wondering if anyone had feedback on it. Is it as good as they say? Also, is it possible to get it cheaper anywhere than the 800 quid asking price. Everywhere you look it seems dealers are fixed on this.

    Thanks

I have been pondering on this set up too, for a couple of months now. I have auditioned them & come away very unimpressed. The sub is very lightweight with an almost mid tone. No rumble at all.

It could have been the demo room has it had hard floors. But a Rurk system I also demo'd & cost £1000 sounded alot better.

I'm now looking for a shop with the Energy 5 sub (£600)sat/system to demo that. But unable to locate it. But I felt the system was a little compressed and lacked space & ambiance.

I demo'd it with this £499 Onyka reciever, like I said I was not impressed with it.

I bought the KEF package after an audition at 7oaks and am impressed. My main criteria was for a modern and therefore viasually acceptable speaker package that could be stand mounted. So my choice was limited to Sony, KEF etc

I did upgrade from a DAVS300 though so it shouldn't have been difficult. Ok the house does not rumble (it thumps) and the high end when compared to my Arcam + Missions HiFi setup is a little lacking but DVD's sound very good indeed.

And they look awesome - the wife approves. They get rave reviews and I'd rate them the same - very good for the packaging size etc.
