    Hi guys,

I currently have the mission cinema 7 set up at home. I am looking at the KEF eggs and would really like to know if anyone has heard both and which one they think is better.

I find it hard to believe that those tiny speakers can make half the noise of my Missions, am i right???

    Thanks

    Bill

    Maybe half the noise, just;)

I think the Kefs are exceptionally good for what they are but they're no match for half decent conventional speakers IMO

Probably best suited for smaller rooms.

I wouldn't swap my 774's 77c1 and 77ds for the Kefs under any circumstances. Unless of course someone was willing to to give me lots of money to change;)

It's a problem for most peeps into home cinema, we're always looking for something better especially the sonic department I think.

Most of us, who don't have a dedicated cinema room with thousands of pounds worth of equipment, are always trying to get to what we believe to be the next level by a small upgrade here and there. Sometimes we just get caught up in the hype;)

My Missions and Denon 3802 will do me (for now anyway):D

Don't swap the cinema7 for the Kef2005, you know it makes sense :)

    The Mission 77 Series are currently being sold as a packeage at Richer Sounds for £399 (Black) 2 x 773e, 1 x 77c1, 2 x 77ds

You obviously rate yours. How do you find the rears?

Do you use two sets of 77ds, one for Surround and the other for center rear?

PS I am also using the Denon 3802

I really like the 77ds rears, they give a more dispersed surround sound than the direct radiators I was using before.

I'm not using 2 sets as yet (though I have got a second set just waiting to go up when I sort the room out, had to get them while they where such a good price from richersounds:)

I got the 774's from richers to as they were also a good price (£299) and I just thought they had that bit extra over the 773e's.

I'm really happy (at the Moment;) ) with the combination of the missions and the Denon but I really should get round to hooking up the other pair of 77ds for the center rear channel. Half the problem is convincing my other half that they'll look good up on the wall and will compliment the other pair:D

contrary to a lot of people, reviewers included the centre rear chanel is designed for best use with one speaker. if you use two put them as close together as possible or you will lose the true effect.
