Kef Eggs sub suggestion

Just purchased five eggs without the sub for a reasonable price (£280) from a friend. Bearing in mind the sub has took a battering for being the weak link of setup, what sub should I buy with £400 that is easily connected with the eggs and will kick a bit more than the standard kef sub? Or am I just best to go with the Kef sub because of matching the components ect.

Thanks

Have a look in the power buys section 'Uncle Eric' was doing a deal on a range of Velodyne subs.

or if you can stretch another £100, you can still get the Paradigm Servo 15 from Richer Sounds.

Can be hassle, but it can't be beaten at the price.

I'm planning to get myself 6 eggs in the near future and decided to go for the Velodyne CHT-10. I've seen alot of comments saying that the supplied Sub that comes with the eggs isn't up to the job so I wouldn't worry about matching components. As I haven't got any eggs yet I can't comment on how it sounds but just letting you know the way I went.

There's a new set of "eggs" coming out shortly with a bigger/better sub.
How much bigger/better I'm not sure, but I think it's the PSW3000.
How much more they want for it is another issue too.
The Kef guy I spoke to said the eggs would also be different (the mockups they had were chrome and gun metal) and the whole set would only be available in 5.1 (ie no extra speakers etc)
How long that policy will last I'm not sure - I can't really see Kef watching money from 6/7.1 setups walk elsewhere - but I suppose you never know. They wouldn't be the first (or last) company to think they can sell only what they want to sell, and not what the public actually wants.

Get the Velodyne CHT10 for £325 from Eric's PowerBuy.

I have bought this and it complements my eggs very well. You will not be disappointed.
