    Can anybody help me out?

I have KEF Egg speakers that have an impedance rating of 8 ohms but on purchasing a new amplifier, a Pioneer VSX C502 I note that it has impedance at output power of 6 ohms. The question is, will this amplifier run these speakers because of the difference in output power?

    Thanks for any assistance offered.

Hi Khanman, The 6 and 8 ohm impedence quoted on the amp and speakers are nominal figures, this means that you should not have any problems with your proposed set up so long as you don't run the amp at it's full rated power for extended periods.
