    newbie alert!!!

Would I do any harm to my speaker/AMP/Plasma if I hooked up a single Kef Egg to both my AV Amp AND the speaker output on my plasma? My thinking being that I wouldn't need to power up the AMP in order to watch (hear) normal telly.

    TIA

    Mike

Not a very good idea to do that.
I believe you may be OK proving that you don't have your AMP on when using the sound from your plasma, and don't have you tv sound on when using your amp. (not sure about the this one though).

Running both together will definitely not be a good idea....

I strongly agree with Gixer750 - would never consider doing what you're thinking about.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Thanks for the replys, I guess the plasma speakers have to stay for the time being.

If this SR+ thing (seperate thread over in Plasma's and LCDs) is all its cracked up to be, it may be a user friendly (and aesthetic) solution to my problem.

    Cheers

    Mike

Having had a quick read, I don't think that the SR+ will answer your problem as it seems to switch inputs on the associated amp but why not just watch everything via the amp anyway. I certainly do as I bought my system to make everything sound better and not just films
