    Hi,

Have a current system with Q1s all around; instead of the Q9c centre, I have been using the 100c centre for about a year now; and it has been working reasonable well.

Now I am thinking of upgrading; and have the opportunity to pick up a 200C for a reasonable price; reviews seems favourable. But I was wondering if the newer Q9C would do a much better job? If not; how about Q10C?

    Thanks for any responses,

    Ritesh

    Hi Ritesh,

It may be worth hanging until the full iQ range is revealed if you want to stick with kef speakers. They'll have an equivalent Q10c coming out (although that was hard to come by in the UK - I think that was US only) but hopefully the iQ version will be available here. I'd be wary of upgrading the centre speaker by too big a jump as you'll then need to upgrade the fronts in a while................................................. ;)

But first reports of the new iQ range are promising and they look rather nice too!!

I've had the new IQ6c now for a week and have got to say the sound is stunning, I'd been looking for a new centre for over a year and auditioned many, including the Q9c which was good but no better than my previous centre. When I heared about the new IQ range I went straight down to my local hifi shop and took it home to try. As soon as it was powered up
I new what a good speaker it was, and a very big improvment over the Q9C.
    Its definitely worth a try.

    Mike.

Have a look around and see if you can get a demo of an XQ2C. I managed to pick one up for £250 spanking new and have never looked back.

Bear in mind that this thing is HUGE though, but if it can be accomodated, it'll blow the socks off the Q / IQ range.
