    Hi all.

I have the following 5 speaker configuration

    Kef Reference 2.2 fronts

    Kef 200c Centre

    Kef 65ds rears

These are running off a Yamaha DSP-A1 at present.

I'm thinking about an AMP upgrade (another thread to be raised shortly!) but wondered if anyone could recommend suitable (available) speakers to fit in with the above setup.

I have a Kef 100c Centre as well, which is spare at the mo. Don't suppose this could be re-used ?

    Cheers

    Damian :)

This would serve reasonably well as a surround effects speaker (6.1)
The only problem would be the asthetics or its placing - a small shelf would suffice. Ideally though, I think dipoles are best in this position.
I have the same fronts and centre as you but use Q2DS as rears.
I prefer these to the 65ds but for matching purposes the ideal rears for the front three would be the old 34DS (I'm currently looking for some)

    Cheers

    Cheers,

Yes, I think if i could get a pair of 35DS' then i'd use them with the 65DS's as the surround group. Problem is getting hold of some :(

Might have to speak to Kef directly and see if they can offer some tonally accurate compromise speakers from the current range :D

I'll post if i get anywhere with this.

Now if i could just make my mind up on a replacement for my Panny Gen 6 SD panel...

Already done this :) It was kef who told me what I passed on to you. That was about a year ago so things may have changed.
Let me know if you get any other info or recommendations.
