    Hi,
I have had my kef sub for about 8 months now and have had no problems with it up on till now

All of a sudden there is no power to the sub whatsoever, the led dont come on and dont get any sound.

Tried changing fuse in plug but no luck.

The manual says to check circuit breakers on the mains supply which may affect power to the sub - how do you do this?

If anyone has got any tips for me they would be greatly received.

    CHEERS

Easy, just plug a light into the socket you used for the sub, if it turns on, the mains is ok.

I'd say the amp in the sub is dead. I think the KEF is a sealed unit too, so it'd be a return to the place you bought it from under warranty for a repair. KEF give a 5 year warranty on passive speakers, and 1 or 2 years on actives subs, I think.

Sorry, I can't help with your problem but I was wondering what the Kef is like, I know it doesn't go as deep as some - do you miss this? or does it's punch make up for it.

    Cheers

    Hi

I do miss the sub, mainly for halo at the mo.
I'm a newbie to the home theatre scene and this was my first purchase with 4 kef 60s sattelites.
I suppose if i had better fronts i wouldnt miss the sub as much.
You do get a good deep response from films like phantom menace, gladiator etc.

I got a good deal with sound&vision for this bundle-£500
    RRP £1050 (sub £500)

    Hope this helps
