Hi guys, just wondering if my KEF 3005se speaker package would be a good match or up to the task of my new receiver, the particular receiver choice is the DENON x4000, this amp has not been purchased yet but will be in stock on Friday this week, is this a match made in heaven or a poor decision on my behalf, any views or opinions would be very welcome.
Thanks for any comments (good or bad)

The X4000 will enable your speakers to perform to the best of their ability.

Hi, so you think no need to upgrade they will be able to cope with the power of the bigger receiver,
    Thanks

Everything has its limits. You're generally better off running speakers with too much power rather than too little - speakers are normally damaged by underpowered amps running out of steam. Dynamic capability of a speaker is generally down to a better quality/more powerful amplifier, which will definitely be noticable with well designed speakers, regardless of their price.

I've used 3005SEs with £1,500/2,000 AV receivers before, and they've lapped them up.
