    Hi ya fellas,

Ive currently got a set of Kef KHT3005's in my lounge running through my Denon AVR1909 receiver and have the chance to get some Aego T's (both 5.1)

I play a lot of HD content through them and also play games through my PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Kefs were a massive step up from my KHT2005.2 setup and sound great, im wondering though if the Aego T's are a next level up from the Kefs.

If so i'll get my flexible friend out.

    Cheers for all replies

    Steve

Failing that idea, would it be better to invest in a 5.1 setup with standmounts as opposed to a "lifestyle" speaker choice??

i have done the reverse of what you intended.

i had planned on getting rid of my aego t;s and getting a kef set up. i was advised that this may be a step down rather than up.

i have ended up getting a set of tannoy F4 custom front speakers , the tannoy custom F1 center speaker, the tannoy F1 rear speakers (i wanted to wall mount the rears and realised that the tannoy custom F1 bookshelf speakers would be slightly bulky and hence the wall mounted custom F1's would be a better bet )and a nice new Bk subx200. all for the princely sum of £589.

my sub on my aego t stopped working and under a separate warranty i had i was given £300 towards replacing the sub.

decided to just get a new system.

the same system ie the tannoy F4 5.1 system ready packaged is going for £799 (some shops want over a grand for the set) yet by buying the speakers separately and including the price of the Bk sub (a better sub than the tannoy one that goes with the set or so i have heard) i got it for around £200 less.
