KEF 2005 - Black or Silver (£50 diff)

yet another dilema.................

I can get the black 2005's from IKONAV for £660 delivered,

or
The silver from Essential AV for £610............

has anyone actually got the black ones and are they actually less obtrusive than the silver ????????

Aesthetics is a very personal thing, so this is an entirely personal opinion...


but when I saw the black eggs at Superfi a few weeks back, I didn't like them.
I think they look drab, and somehow cheaper than the silver ones.
I certainly wouldn't pay more for them!
I would have gone with something like gun-metal for a darker colour, if it had been me, but one would assume Kef have done their research on this, and are responding to a demand!

But as I said, it depends on your own tastes and possibly the decor you are fitting them in with!

If I were buying them, I'd probably get another one or two eggs at the same time as well (for use as EX/ES rear(s) ) - you may not want/need them now, but if you do at some point in the future, and Kef have subsequently changed the design.......well just a thought!
