I'm looking for small ceiling mount speakers for the bathroom and can't decide between the Kef 100QRs and the Linn Sweetspots.

What do you all think? Anyone have experience of both?

    Thanks!

I would avoid Sweetspots unless you are going to use LOTS and have a sub somewhere as well.

Tended to put in Linn Sekrets, lokals or Heybrook IW81's.

Only ever heard sweetspots sound good when I used 16 and a sub in a hallway/entrance vestibule. Really they need to play loud and they need re-inforcement.

Not tried Kef in ceiling units in years.

Thanks Gordon but I'm looking for a view on a pair of sweetspots or Kef Ci100QRs in a bathroom - no subwoofer, not 16 sweetspots just the one pair of speakers.

anyone have experience of sweetspots or kef Ci100QRs in a bathroom?

    Thanks!

Thanks Gordon - didn't mean to disregard your help just looking for people's experience in similar situations. I've read about Darren Jackson's sweetspot recommendations but I'm concerned about their single driver and relatively small frequency range.

Looks like I may go KEF

    Regards,
    William

    Wbessada

Today i ordered a pair of Kef ci130qs (to arrive tomorrow) from Hyperfi (110.00 including delivery - the cheapest i could get at sevenoaks was 230.00!) These are for the forth-coming height channel from Tag (v 4.10) which hopefully will be released in the next few days, if you can wait that long i will post my thoughts.

    Regards

    Steven

Thanks Steve, I've actually got some 130QS in another room and they're great but I wanted something a bit smaller for this bathroom - as it's only 1.7m * 2m so I thought the 100QR would be a good bet.

Incidentally I've noticed my 130QS have what looks like an IR sensor space in one corner - does anyone know anything about that - is it a space to attach an IR sensor and if so which ones will fit? Steve, Let me know if yours have the same when they arrive.

    Thanks!
