I just thought it would be prudent to stop highlighting the e-tailers that are still "safe" with regards to VAT charges.

If a site's name is constantly thrown about as being "VAT free" then I'm sure some employee of HMC&E will at some stage see this (whether they are buying for themselves or scanning forums on a work-related basis) and the site's shipments are going to increase which will also alert Customs.

What a quaint idea that HMCE scan this site to find out who is not declaring the true price of items or the names of etailers who are becoming popular. I don't think for one moment that someone banging on about dvdsoon on this or other forums has anything to do with the change of attitude - more likely that somebody got suspicious seeing everything cost $12 at dvdsoon.

Their interest in etailers will be triggered by volume first and foremost, so Amazon, Play, CD-Wow, DVDSOON etc are on their radar already. CheapoDVD.aus who don't supply many discs are likely to go un-noticed as people at mount pleasant won't recognise them.

So by all means keep it to yourself if you like but asking others not to share information rather goes against the spirit of this site. After all it's all well and good for a site to exist that supplies cheap vat free discs but if none of us know then who gains?
