I bought a Sony KDL40W4500 a few years back here in Spain, it's been great. I am now however moving back to the UK.

Now the digital TV here is DVB-T I think and the TV can cope with an HD signal.

My question is, is this compatible with Freeview in the UK or will I have to buy another TV and/or Freeview box? Are DVB-T and Freeview one and the same?

    Any answers appreciated.

First, check the setup menus to see if you can set the country to the UK.
Freeview uses DVB-T, Freeview HD uses DVB-T for SD and DVB-T2 for HD so you won't get HD broadcasts on the TV.
Otherwise most things should be the same except for MHEG (red button) stuff if UK isn't in the country list.
