    Hi guys,

***Sorry if I've posted in the wrong section, i dont know which is the correct one for this topic. Feel free to move it to the right one please.***

Anyway, I am after a decent karaoke system. Not just those pop idol cdg karaoke standalone system though.

Currently all my karaokes are on DVD or VCD, and I use my current DVD player to play them. We have some karaoke mic but there is no plug on the DVD player itself.

Any suggest on what to get to create a karaoke system please?

I have been thinking of getting: -

-A karaoke microphone system that handles 2 karaoke mic, wired/wireless
-Speakers that would handle both the karaoke songs input from my existing DVD player, and also the input from the new Karaoke mic system.

Please, I would be very grateful if anybody tell me exactly which and what to get? also where pls? and how much, LOL :D

As for budget it would be after a £100 (its low...) but do let me know how much is needed and I will see if its worth it.

Really, any suggestions for a karaoke system would be appreciated.

    Many thanks all!

TBH I don't think you will get anything other than a 1 box solution within your budget :(

with a quickl look around I came up with a £200+ system:

    www.maplin.co.uk

    200W Beginner PA Kit
    Product code: B01BF
    Price: £129.99

    Vocal Microphone
    Product code: YU37S
    Price: £24.99

    4-Channel Mono Mixer
    Product code: MY95D
    Price: £17.99

but the above does not include any form of reverb/echo that is a must for karaoke! Therefore you may be better off spending more on the mixer and getting something like:

    MMX-410 Pro Mixer
    product code: L54AN
    price: £79.99

by the time you add in any additional cables etc you wont be far short of £300.

    MMX-410 Pro Mixer Manufacturer: ProSound
    • 4 channel stereo mixer
    • 2 mic inputs with echo feature
    • Eight built in sound effects
    • Crossfader with channel selectors
    • 7 channel EQ

The PA starter kit, cables, speaker stands etc etc

If you have leads and don't want speaker stands etc then it's just the pro mixer and the PA starter kit at around £210. Everything else can always be bought at a later date as funds allow, if required!
