    Fab indie-pop album

On first couple of listens, it reminds me of Modern Life era Blur - not too suprising as Stephen Street is producing. Both singles (I Predict a Riot and Oh My God) are obvious stand out tracks, but there are plenty of other great tunes as well.

The limited edition CD is also worth mentionning - comes in a cardboard box, designed to look like a board game, and includes a free live CD, poster, and some Kaisers monopoly money :)

They're gonna be massive this year, and best of all they come from Leeds, and they're all Leeds United fans !

They are good, but track 2 is such a Clash rip-off it makes me cringe!

I know Ricky and Nick from the Chiefs, they are good guys and good on em, "oh my god" and "i predict a riot" are just ace songs!

Also the Kaiser Chiefs used to be called Parva. (not really as good!)

    Blimey - small world !

You from the Leeds area too M.A.S. ?
A couple of them went to Garforth Community College with a couple of my mates.........

I remember them being called Parva.......think they were Runston Parva before that as well. Gigged a lot in the Leeds area, but never got very far. Change of name, and change of direction seemed to do the trick !

Album is number 3 in the Album Charts

    Ian.
