k17s and k4s large or small

    am using 3x k17s pair of k4s and a vx100 sub are you using your speakers set to large or small am feeding mine via a 3805 according to the auto calibration set up on the 3805 it has set them to large ?

    Hi John,
    I would never trust the Auto settings, when i ran mine on the Z9 it also gave me large speakers for the front with the M&K's they are sat's so i would say change them back to small so that the sub can handle the Bass and let the sats do everything alse above

    No M&K speaker officially drops below 80Hz so they should all be treated as small. It does sometimes seem a little odd that even the most expensive M&K, which is a fairly hefty piece of kit, isn't designed to reproduce below 80Hz

    Ian M&K do a range of speakers that do go below the 80hz.

    Thanks John - I've never heard of them before. I'm intrigued to know what they sound like

    They are fairly new so i don't suppose too many people have, but i'm sure they must sound great :thumbsup: and now you have even more choice from there range.
