I'm new to this board and i figured you guys would be able to give me an answer. I just bought an LCD and i have made a home made projector out of it and its great but one problem is.. I get a slightly lighter color near the top and bottom and both sides... it is mainly only noticible in black scenes or 16 x 9 scences in letterbox mode. Any clue what that is? does that happen often to LCD's? i know its not my lighting in the projector becuase i already had another LCD in there and it didn't do this... IS this just a problem with lcds... having lighter edges sometimes?

Think this sounds like light is leaking from the backlight.
This is a problem with certain lcd screens I believe.
