I would also like to know a bit more about this, it looks like a nice piece of kit and would be really useful to me with HDMI, component and optical inputs.

The only real info I've found is this http://www.jvcgate.co.uk

Guys

this product only just out so not so many end-user reviews are out there.
www.jvcgate.co.uk is currently your best gateway to get more info on the product.

We'd love to hear any first-hand reviews from all you gamers in particular!

I've found a couple of places that sell it:

digital-point.co.uk £224.00 delivered but I've never heard of them.
http://www.digital-point.co.uk/model.php?ID=2948&source=kelkoo

electricaldiscountuk.co.uk £257.99 + £3.99 delivery
http://www.electricaldiscountuk.co....68&PHPSESSID=0f2cb633f693d3fd91b68d8bf3b8b8f7

I'm really tempted but I'm not sure about the sound output (360w), my current DVD surround has 750w but I never have it turned up that loud so will 360w be enough for a 4 x 5 meter living room ?

Has anyone used digital-point before, if so are they ok ?

Rich.

I've noticed that this model has a D at the end of its model name.

I saw this somewhere else (cant remember where though, sorry). they were showing both this and a model without a D. the D model was cheaper. not sure if there is any difference though, and i cant find any reference on any JVC sites

Im also very interested in this. I was thinking of getting the Sony HT-SF1100 but i discovered today that the HDMI pass-thru only supports up to 1080i. Whilst this is not an issue currently, im thinking of the future.

Good link Rich G.

Certainly looks promising as a small, low powered surround solution which is exactly what I'd need.
Would go very well with my Panasonic PX70 plasma. If only I wasn't skint now after buying said plasma... :suicide:

I'd be really interested to know if this unit can process multi-channel PCM via the HMDI socket. Any ideas?

That looks like a serious nice piece of kit and is making me change my mind yet again.Really would like to read a review first too as the total power of 360W bothers me a bit but I live in an apartment so obviously cant have it overly loud either.Decisions,decisions,decisions.

I'm really tempted at that price just wish there were a few reviews for it.

anybody actually got one of these yet?

It is now the turn of my sound system to be upgraded and was looking at this. I have a relatively small living room so loudness isn't really a problem.

Empiredirect now have these in stock, £239-99, a bit more than some other places, but at least Empire are fairly reputable, so come on somebody take the plunge and buy one, let all of us other chickens know if it's good:smashin: , bad:thumbsdow , or just ok;)

I'm not familiar with this system -

The setup i need is that i can plug in my ps3 as well as xbox 360, dvd player, and sky digital and simply switch between them with the remote with the sound from the chosen source being outputted through the speakers and the picture being outputted by the tv.

Is this product suitable?

and has anybody found a review for this system yet?

Haha, someone buy one please ;)

I might just go for it anyway - Looks nice and will go great with my new PX70. Volume isn`t much of an issue as I live in a flat. Reckon it would look slick on my gloss white setup too (which is still a work in progress!)

I've just ordered one of these from Dabs, with the £20 voucher it worked out not that much more than the other places and I trust dabs more. It said 3-5 days for delivery so I can post some thoughts and pictures when it arrives. Bear in mind I'm not much of an audiophile so my thoughts may be limited to something like "yep, it sounds great" or "sounds like a pile of poo (if poo made a sound)."

I was after an HDMI switch box anyway (as I only have 1 on my TV) so hopefully this should take care of that problem as well as handle the audio from everything I own. Just hope it sounds OK but it's only for a small room so should be OK.
