I have no experience of this range of plasma panels but thought a quick message could maybe stir up a bit of interest in your thread.

Which JVC model are you contemplating.

    Regards

SS have a customer who bought one of the 42" units over a year ago. It was better than I was expecting. Not too loud, not too much posterisation. Nowadays though that unit is easily beaten by the Panasonic. I have not seen a JVC recently.

Thank you Joe and Gordon. The model I have been quoted for is JVC GD-V4210PCE at £3800 which is some £700 less than the Panasonic basic. I have seen the two side by side and there is little (subjectivley) difference between the two in picture performance. However the newer Panny is streets ahead of either, but so is the price! I am very undecided which route to go and may wait until later in the year when I see what else is coming along and how prices fall.

I have a Toshiba 46WHO8B which is an excellent tv and has a picture that will take some beating. I have been considering changing to the Panasonic AE100 projector but that would mean buying a new tv (something like a regular 32") as well, for regular use, because of space limitations. The alternative has been to look at plasma. Another choice would be to replace the Toshiba 46 with the new 42WH18B which is a good price and that would enable me to do what I wish to with my living room whilst still affording me good pictures. I hope this all makes sense, but any advice is appreciated.
