JVC PD42DX6 - Could this be a contender?

    I don t think this could be able to display sky HD coz it states it accepts 720p at 60hz
    not 720p 50hz which is the signal that sky will broadcast.
    Also I ve seen one of these connected via component and didn t like it at all.
    The image seemed washed out and blurry.
    6\10 detail.
    IMO is one of the worst plasmas that I ve seen
    I think you must have a look at the new hitachi 7200.

    Thanks, I'll put the 7200 on my list. To be honest, I do prefer a screen with as small borders around the main display as possible as large/thick surrounds make the display area look smaller IMHO.

    I would like the Panasonic PHD7 but it's just too pricey for my wallet.

    Is the Samsung PS42S5H no good either, wouldn't be surprised at that price http://www.digiuk.com/productdetail.asp?id=4189&c=125554&guid=&s=

    I don t know what s the deal with that samsung.
    It s specifications are extraordinary and really impressive.
    But we ain t got a review for this screen yet.
    Nobody in this forum has seen it
