I have been looking for a widescreen tv on a tight budget for a while now and I'm not sure if I should get the JVC AV-28CT1EKS or the PHILIPS 28PW6006. Could someone please tell me which they would recommend. Thanks.

Just returned two seperate Philips 28PW6006 TV's. They are great TV's, good colours & geometry but I had the ghosting & faint vertical bar issues when using RGB in. Do a search on these forums for more info.

I also did extensive testing of the JVC and the only issues was the menu interface for changing aspect ratio is combersum. Have a play first at a shop before ordering.

In the end I picked up an Curry's Manger's Special: A Panasonic TX28PK3 for 199GBP due to a dent in the case!
