Thinking of getting this set Jvc LT42DV8BJ in replacement of my faulty LE40M87 due to the freeview judder.
Can anyone with it tell me what blu ray plays like on it using the ps3?
The samsung does 24ps so i didn't notice any judder but don't want to get a set that i have problems with.

    Any reviews anywhere?

Just read the contrast ratio 1000:1 where the samsung is 15000:1

Will this really make a big difference?

15000:1 contrast ratio is a "Dynamic contrast" ratio, so do not let that number fool you. Expert forumities will explain this I am sure....

Yes the tosh is quoted as 6000:1 but that is also a dynamic ratio its prob more like 1000:1./ 1200:1.

Why not hold out for the new toshiba z model due out soon or give the jvc a shot.

Well I have taken a chance, the Samsung will be replaced tomorrow by the Jvc.
Really hope I have a problem free set this time around, otherwise :suicide:

Well I received the Jvc lcd today and 1st impressions it is really good, haven't played about with any settings yet but I must say the sound for a lcd is top notch with plenty of bass and treble.
Think it does have slight bleeding in the top left corner but will look into it more later.

    Another update:

Sound level far better than samsung
Freeview picture much better with no judder
No 24fps but blu ray and hd playback is smooth
Does have slight light bleeding in from top left of screen (not that bad)
Bulid quality is far better than samsung.
I prefer the look of the samsung screen (the reflective glass look)
Not sure on the black levels yet compared to the samy.
Like to test out the samy 100hz model now to compare..

Packaging on the samsung was better, you have to lift the screen completely out of the jvc box.
