JVC LT-39DG52J Flashing Blue Light

Hi,
I'm new to this Forum and I have a problem with my JVC tv.
The blue light on the front keeps flashing and there is no picture.
I have tried the suggestion of holding down the Menu and V- buttons on the remote, then pressing and releasing the power button then after 3 seconds releasing the the Menu and V- many times to no effect.
I have removed the batteries from the remote for 30 seconds then replacing them to no effect as well.
The batteries have been replaced with new.
Do any members have any suggestions.

Have you tried unplugging/switching off at the power socket and leaving it 10-15mins then powering on again?

Thanks for your comment.
At various times the TV has been unplugged from the power socket, sometimes for hours at a time.
I'm sorry to say to no effect.
