JVC LT-32C790 LED Backlight Control

Having just successfully replaced both 11 LED's backlight strips on my 32 inch JVC LT-32C790 TV (Vestel boards) due to a single LED failure, have noted that the LED backlight power control on the video menu is set to 100% but "greyed out", ie., can't reduce in an effort to preserve LED life span.
Is this normal?
Any way of making this control active/adjustable?

Thanks for the reply and interest.

No, does not seem to be video mode related.
However, have managed to get a solution by changing "Energy Saving" setting to "Custom" which then makes the "Backlight Control" adjustable, ie., no longer greyed out.

Prior to the failure/replacement of the LED backlights I never had any occasion to try adjustment of the backlight illumination, was quite happy with the default video settings.
After completing the quite time consuming failure diagnosis/replacement of the LED backlights I am more anxious to try and extend the life span of the replacement units by decreasing their brillance, have found that decreasing the setting from the default 100 to 75% has minimal visual impact and may help life expectancy.
