Hi, I my friend gave me his old JVC KD-AVX1 and he lost the power cord. (posted this topic months ago, but the Connect Distribution site is too complex for me)

Nevertheless, the JVC machine states DC 12V and it is 16 pin.(it seems) Is there any after market power cord cable for AVX1? I am driving a 2001 honda civic. If I bring it to a car audio shop, will they be able to get me a OEM one?

I found this on their site.. but not sure is this power cord or not

    Dude,

First you need the power cord supplied with the AVX1 in order to get it to work. Then you may need an ISO adaptor for your make of car. I would suggest you take it to a specialist or Halfords for further advice.

The cable you are linking to on JVC America is the correct cable. Dont forget the green wire is the handbrake cable (bypass to ground) if you want video while moving. That can be done properly by connecting it to the ground on the power loom or bodged by simply undoing a screw on the head unit and wedging it in.

For the cable refer to WillowVale Electronics on 0121 766 5414 and quote part number: QAM0700-001

Or go to Halfords with the same part number. This is the part number for the power loom. You will probably still need an ISO adaptor which you will have to go to Halfords for.

If all else fails get Halfords to fit it.

    Good Luck
