Because I have problems with my Sony KV-28CS70 and the one on display in the showroom showed the same problem upto a certain degree, the dealer has offered me choose another set. My choice has fallen on the JVC HV-28P37 DIST TV because it is heavily discounted and the specs look good. In the shop I've tried the JVC comprehensively and are quite impressed with it. On the internet on the other hand I read all sorts of problems with this set: Unsynchronized sound / picture Purity and geometry problems NTSC progressive scan interference line Bowed lines (like moire lines) on the left and right side of the screen RGB signal + 60hz or NTSC means a switchback to composite signal The only problem I've seen with the set in the shop was diagonal interference lines while displaying an RGB signal. I don't know whether this was due to the set or a faulty / bad cable. I will use the TV mainly for watching DVD's using PAL progressive scan and playing PlayStation 2 thru RGB cable (might consider an upgrade to a component cable). I seldom watch analogue broadcast or other signals. Now I would like to asked you guys for experiences / recommendations for or against this TV and the problems I've described. Greetings, Dennis.
