    Hi:

I'm owner of a JVC VCR with HDD (model HM-HDS1). I would like to know if anyone knows if it's possible to upgrade do a bigger HD. Also, any idea of what is the type of file system on the HD? Can i connect it to my PC without any problem, to try to see the files? Any info on this questions would be welcome.

    Regards,

I haven't investigated the file system but I can confirm that it's not possible to increase the capacity of the HDD. The original 40Gb HDD used in this model is no longer available so any that fail have to be fitted with an 80Gb HDD and a replacement EEPROM chip but it's still not possible to use anything other than the first 40Gb.
