Hey everybody, I must be the luckiest geyser in the world. I just bought from my local electrical store a JVC HM-DR10000 D-VHS machine for £199. Yes £199. That's one hundred and ninety nine pounds. It is second hand but does come with a years warranty. I think that's a pretty good deal.
Sorry just showing off a bit, there.

Hey everybody, I must be the unluckiest geyser in the world. I just bought a JVC D-VHS machine for £199 and I can't find anywhere to buy blank D-VHS cassettes for it. Any ideas outthere where I might be able to purchase some?

If all else fails I think JVC may sell them direct - 0870-330-5000. You may get a better response in the VCR Forum.

    Hi,

    Congratulations !

I'm sure someone will pitch in with some sources for D-vhs tapes. Meanwhile, you can use S-vhs tapes...... a 240 length will give you over 5 hours of recording time at standard speeds. Just press the D-vhs button with a S-vhs tape in the machine and it'll do the business.

    Hi,

Someone in a previous post suggested looking at pricebuster.org.uk or kvjfairdeal.com.

Prices should be around £7-8 for a DF 300 and £14-16 for a 420. I haven't used either of these suppliers as I tend to stick with s-vhs tapes.

Whilst on the subject of S-VHS tapes, can someone recommend a brand(s) to use with a JVC S-VHS deck?

JVC would seem to be the logical choice. The SV-180s work well.

I've been looking around for one of these, but can't seem to find any at a decent price. Anyone know the best place to source one. I don't suppose your dealer had anymore!;) :D
