    Hi

The CD Tray in my JVC head unit is unresponsive to the point where I have a stuck CD in there

Before it came totally stuck it was a bit slow in responding to the eject button. I thought maybe I had a dodgey CD so I tried another - But now the eject button is totally unresponsive and I have a CD stuck in there

I've tried the usual things like pressing the reset button and disconecting the battery but no joy

Instead of waiting for JVC to fix do any of you guys have any ideas

    Many thanks

    RON

need to open unit up, Look to the right and you will see a white plastic cog.

With small screwdriver ( flat) keep manually pushing cog up and the cd will eject.

    Your fault could be

    Belt loose

    cd cover/copy cd cover stuck

    objects in cd tray *money/rubbish**

    forceed cd inserting.

    Hi Mate

Thats for that - Since it's under warranty being only a couple of months old - I think I'm safer taking it back to the dealer and then of to JVC. ( I don't really want to take it apart)
I can't see there being anything stuck in there or forced insertion so I guess it must be a fault

    Many thanks

make sure the unit has nothing in. Otherwise expect a bil.

Take it back to the shop and ask for a refund or a different make.JVC are very unreliable... take my word for it.buy something by Sony,Panasonic,Pioneer or Alpine.

    Remember buy cheap,buy twice...

    Hi

Well the unit is with JVC now - I refund was not in the offering as I'd had the unit for a couple of months now and an exchange with another make was a no go as this company only deals with JVC head units (maybe why I got it cheaper than elsewhere) - Hopefully this will all be sorted out - I must admit I am a bit dissapointed as it was not a cheap unit being there flagship model

Anyway guys thanks for the input

    Many thanks
