I like camcorder that allows video in/out and also like transfer family home videos from VHS tapes to digital format (SVCD and digital cam formats).

I've been deciding between JVC GRDVL767(£519) and 367(£449):
( these prices from www.askdirect.co.uk)

1) what's the difference? is it worth the extra £100
2) some advertisers selling as 767EK , what does EK bit mean?

I shall be grateful for advice on these or similar priced camcorder

Thanks a lot

EK suffix is simply full JVC model number.
GR-DVL367EK vs GR-DVL767EK
No Lens Hood vs Lens Hood
8mb MM Card vs 8mb SD Card
800k Pixel CCD 520 Lines Res vs 1.02 Megapixel 530 Lines Res
Max 1024x768 vs Max 1280x960 HG Digital Stills
556g vs 567g Weight

Whether it's worth £100 for higher resolution only you can decide...
