jvc gr-fx11 camcorder

    is my camcorder ok to edit my videos using a pc. what cables would i require

    Yes it can be done, but not easily as the camcorder is analogue (VHS-C) :(

    To be able to get the video onto the PC you will need an analogue to digital capture device such as the Canopus ADVC converters that will connect to the PC via a firewire port. These cost around £150+ depending on the model. Have a look at These.
    A cheaper option is a USB2.0 capture device, but the results from these tend to be fairly poor with lower quality video & often the audio out of sync. But they do cost a lot less at around £30. Have a look at This for an example.
