After looking around a long time for MiniDV camcorder I decided for one of
those models - because of their features. Unfortunately I was not able so
far to find valuable reviews in the internet or German press for these
camcorders - maybe because here they are still brand new.

In case there's somebody who has one of these models I would appreciate to
get some information about your experience resp. the pros and cons. Which
model is to be preferred - in regards to quality and features?

If you know any review kindly let me know the link.

    thanks and regards
    Claus

    Dear Claus,

It is like to compear a Mercedes and and......

The specs you can see at the Sony and JVC sites...

I had them both, and I have to tell you the Sony miniDV are the BEST!!!!

( No disrespect for JVC...also v good!) and smaller...
So Only if you need v. small one, you may go for JVC DVP7.

Also in this case I would go for Sony PC 9, and not JVC...

SONY build quality is superb, the mechanism is v.quite, the noise does not get picked from the mike...Picture quality is fantastic, and it is v small too!Lenses are Carl Zeis...

Please buy the SONY and run fast before someone else gets it !!!
