Please can somebody tell me the differences between a JVC GR-DVL 357 and GR-DVL 557, apart from the LCD screen size? Between the two, which is the better buy?

    Hi there,

    The 557 has:
    - an analogue in
    - a multimedia-card for the pictures
    - a color viewfinder (don't know if this is better than B/W)
    - the 3,5" screen.

There is NO difference between the two cams appart from the screen size. The idea of it having analogue in is not true at all! This is just a lie that I also found on http://www.krishav.co.uk . I e-mailed them and they said it was a mistake.
They both have multimedia card and the saem type of viewfinder.

I e-mailed this question to JVC and they told me simply "There is no dofferenc except fot the LCD monitor screen size." So Save your money and get the 357.

    :)
