    Hi
    jvc at http://www.jvc.co.uk/article.php?id=100248&catid=14
say this camera has got a gold award from "Camcorder User"
www.camuser.co.uk, but the site says nothing about it neither does
the magazine? Is it missing, a different magazine?

In any case any opinions about this camera, I think I'm going to choose
this rather than the canon mv750i as the noise pickup and low light
ability (I'll be doing filming indoors a lot of the time) bothers me.

Well according to the magazine they did do a review of this camera back in May 2004 and you can gat a copy of the review direct from Camcorder user magazine, but the current magazine which lists the GR-D73 makes no mention of a Gold Award. - - They do show a gold award for the GR-D70 though

No - you can't get a review online - funny thing is although the magazine says they did a review of the GR-D73 there is no mention of it at all on the website and in the latest issue of the mag they show no ratings for the -D73 although they do for every other camera they list that they have reviewed.

To get a copy of the review you need to send a cheque for £3 payable to "Highbury Entertainment" and a stamped self addressed envelope to :-

Camcorder User and DVD Movie Maker
    Highbury Entertainment
    53 - 79 Highgate Road
    London
    NW5 1TW

requesting a copy of the review of the JVC GR-D73 dated May 2004.

If the thought of paying money has put you off I did find an online review here :-

yep, don't suppose somone could tell me in general what the mag thought?

low light is the killer feature for me and that canon model mv600 I had
for a short while really put me off buying a new camcorder.

I saw that review, noticed that it mentioned the mechanism noise is much better with this than the canon. The canon mv750i's review on the same
website mentioned that low light abilitys are a bit better than its
    predecessors.

This camcorder is standing out because it looks like it'll do the job indoors,
it looks nice (don't think the canons do) and the zoom is 16x which is
    nice.
