    Hi

We have got a JVC GR-D63 and after struggling to get the software working correctly to capture video to PC, we rang JVC to get some help, they have said we have the wrong software disc and to contact our supplier to get the right one. After contacting them they told us we needed the invoice, Unforunately its a second hand camcorder and we dont have it.

There is nothing on the site for downloading the software so we are stuck at the moment. Does anyone know where we could get a copy of the software/driver from? Using WinXP Pro

    Thanks
    Ash

If running XP then you just need to connect the camcorder to the PC via firewire (aka iLink, ieee1394, DV port) and use Movie Maker that is supplied as part of XP to capture your video. Don't connect the cam to the PC via USB as this will not give you full quality capture, if it even works. USB is only meant to be used for capture of still images from the cam or perhaps webcam type quality capture of video, but probably poor or even no sound!
