JVC Everio GZ-MG21 is dead

I turned on my cam today... havent used it in a while. My screen came up with a bunch of lines -- said something about lens cap -- which was already off.

I turned it off then back on and it is dead. Will not do anything...... battery wont even charge. ive barely had this cam over a yr. Used it only a handfull of times.

Any suggestions
