I like my JVC DR-MH20s and would like to be able to use it as at present after digital switchover i.e record programmes I am not watching. Any suggestions or shall I scrap it and buy an equivalent digital model?

You could add a cheapo Set Top Box but TBH that would be a pain to use. Best to use it until DSO in your area and then just use it as a DVD Player/Recorder after then and buy a PVR (Humax would be my suggestion).

    Welcome to the forum.

You could do as GaryB suggests NOW... and enjoy the facility of a twin digital channel recorder and use your JVC as an archive device for it.

Two birds with one stone ... and no need to scrap it.

Which, coincidentally, is exactly what I do with my DR-MH300 (a newer version of the DR-MH20).
