My camcorder is unable to play back what i have recordered,i just get a blue screen.I took it in to jessops which they sent of to find out the problem.Turns out they need to replace the drum.2 Questions they want £269 to repair,
    1. does anyone know where i could get this done cheaper?
2.What causes the drum to get faulty,i have only recorded about 2hours on the camcorder, only had it 13 months.
    THANK YOU.

Would not be impressed with that!
Do some resurch on your 'Statutory Rights' as I have heard of people getting expensive products repaired under guarentee well after the 12 months warrenty.
Try to push the point that you have only recorded around 2 hours of video etc. etc. and see if they will help you out.
Its got to be worth a try

These are some quotes on people getting out of guarenty repairs/refunds by stating their statutory rights:

All taken from the TiVo Community Forum, but still spply to a camcorder.
    Hope this helps.

    No

Read the post again. Your 'contract' is with the shop who sold it to you not with JVC.

JVC can tell you to go away legally. The retailer where you bought it from are not.
