I bought a brand new JVC camcorder at the weekend and I,m convinced the battery that was supplied with it must be knackered. It will only charge for about 20 minutes and only powers the camera for about 5 minutes. The manual says charging time should be approx. 1hr 30mins and it should run the camera for about 45mins. Am I right? Is it goosed.
PS whats the best place to buy more powerful batteries?

    jeffspiers,
The new battery will benefit from a longer initial charge period, if this isn't beneficial, contact your supplier for replacement battery.
    It should perform as stated.

The trouble is I have a little green light that flashes as its charging and when it stops flashing and is lit permanently it is fully charged, and it stops flashing after about 20 minutes.

Try charging/discharging and charge again, if no success return to your supplier for inspection/replacement.
Return whole camcorder with all accessories and box.
