Im shopping for a new TV, unfortuneatly, none of my local stores have either to view for myself,
so I'm seeking advice on which one is better.

I am actually shopping for a whole new system, I dont have any current equipment,
but as far as searching the forums the above TV's seem well recived as do my DVD and VHS choice:
Sony DVD-ns405
Panasonic NV-pj630

and i will then take a scart to phono into my stereo from the TV.
sadly not surround sound but at least its a better stereo image, and a bit more bass!

is this a good set up to buy, or can you recomend better?
budget for the lot is £1000ish.

thankyou for any advice you can offer!

Hi,

I have just purchased the JVC TV as it offers in my opinion a superior picture, especially with DVD. I had a close look at the sony but found geometry to be crap. Also, what the hell is the sony stand all about. I would rather sit it on the box it was delivered in.

The 28" JVC was recently reviewed by home cinema choice a revieved an award for picture quality. The sound is not the best but if you are getting the surroud sound thing anyway, no need to worry.

Hope this helps (you get 3 free DVDs with the JVC at the moment too).

i think the sony stand is great. its solid and practacal and looks smoooove:p :D

thankyou for the opinion,
does anyone else have one?

can anyone help me out, i want to get the best home cinema package i can for £1000.
i know its not alot, but sadly its all i can afford.

i appreciate any advice,
thanks again
