Kids were watching TV when the screen went black - I changed channel via the remote and the picture reappeared but at full volume. The remote and rear volume controls do not do anything (on-screen level says zero, still belting out). Managed to switch the speakers off via the sound menu eventually.

The kids said it 'clicked' before it all happened. I have been through all the menus I can find and nothing seems to work.

    Does this sound expensive?

See my answers on the thread below. It's possible that you have a variation on this fault. As your set is a T25 and not an R25, the Pro Logic & 3D Phonic options should be set appropriately for your model.

Make sure you read the whole thread first - and be careful.

Many thanks...the procedure was slightly different, but close enough for a mere mortal such as myself to blunder through it.

my children now believe me to be the DADDY! (which, of course I am.....)

Thanks GaryB......I am, though, slightly scared that you know all this stuff! :smashin:
