I need a new TV and would like it to have 3 Scarts sockets on it

    Found this one,

    Here: http://www.jvc.co.uk/product.php?id=AV-28X4SK&catid=100058

has anyone got it? if so is it any good?
I've also read something on here about JVC TV's having faint rolling bars when using a RGB connection, can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks. :)

I've got a 36" Jvc tv and don't get the above on it.

Got a JVC 28xSKA on 27th November for c £360. Colours, contrast and definition seem fine to me.

Slight scrolling horizontal interference patterns on some of the SkySportNews panels but otherwise solid colours.

Problem is geometry. Significant bowing in of vertical lines on left of screen. Eliminated possibility of local magnetic effects and sent it back. Replacement has pincushion on smaller scale. Great fun watching half way line on football pitch curve first one way and then the other as it passes middle of screen.

Not too noticeable on anything but vertical lines over full height of screen but that's too much for me. Found service menu but cannot see any option for electronic adjustment of alignement.

Conclusion - on basis of these two sets there may be general poor geometry and I suspect I will lose money getting supplier to take it back.

Why is it so hard finding a TV that works?

Because all the investment (ie money) is going into LCD, Plasma and beyond

I have a 28" JVC I bought 18ish months back, not had any issues at all. Sorry I can't recall the model number, but it has 3 scarts which work perfectly.

Kevin Brett: Sorry to bother you Kevin, but how did you get to the service menu?

I tried looking on the database at avforums, but as a general JVC entry, it wanted me to press the 'display' and 'video information' buttons - I don't think I have them!

    Please help a dunce. Thanks!

Oh ... and to respond to "Just Some Ugly" - no, I see no rolling bars via rgb; and I've been examining my favourite DVDs with the eyes of a hawk :)
