JVC AV-28X37 Geometry

    Products Owned:
    Products Wanted:
Just bought a JVC AV-28X37 TV. Although being generally impressed with the quality of the image. It does appear to have some geometry problems.

If displaying a 4:3 image the black bars either side are fairly distorted, both sides, top to bottom. The degree of bending is also variable which makes it particularly distracting. The image also appears to have a reasonable amount of tilt.

Having not owned a flat 16:9 tv before (Projectors are my usual thing), I would like to know if these artifacts are to be expected and are limitations of the technology? Would a replacement likely be the same? Do dealers generally accept this as a fault and replace without to much of an argument?

Any opinions, advise or information would be appreciated,
