In dark scenes the the dark areas are too black. I've had to set the brightness to max to see the detail but then the whites are too bright. Note that I have set ECO mode off and it's the same with DVD's.
Is there anything I can do? Perhaps a setting in the service menu? If this is a common problem I'll take it back as it's still under warranty.

Thanks in advance for your help.
    Stuart.

Are you watching via RGB? If so, it seems to be a common problem with no service menu fix as the RGB contrast levels are "hard wired".

Incidentally, if you increase the brightness you'll only succeed in making the blacks go all grey and "muddy".

I am also experiencing this problem with the 32WFT1EK, both on RGB and composite and from all sources. Will let you know if I find a solution....
