Watched it with baited breath after all the fuss about it. The acting was superb from the cast of thousands, but I found the story quite loose, and the constant cutting from time and place to time and place a little confusing in the beginning.
I suppose as I am not American, I have little to relate this film too.
Definately not 'Oscar' winning stuff, but I suppose winning an 'Oscar' these days means little to nothing.
Maybe repeated viewing might warm me up to this film, but It did seem a little strained and contrived, almost as if the director thought, "right, oscars coming up, better get this right", rather than letting the rhythm continue.
