If you have a few quid spare you can buy a half-decent tft screen for next to nothing these days, just get a screen, keyboard, mouse, and turn it into a desktop PC.

You can change the power setings in the laptop BIOS so that closing the lid doesn't activate suspend mode....

boot up, shut the lid, stand the TFT on top of the closed case... ?

    :)

You might be able to send it back to the manufactorer for a replacement screen, might cost a couple of £100 though.

It's probably not worth the expense of getting the tft screen replaced, so I would go the external screen route as well.

dont want to `go go down the external screen route as that would fix it i place anf i dont want a fixed point.

i wasthinking of streaming and stuff. going to hard wire to ther router. can connect wirelessly to it from the other laptop.
