Just taken receipt of a samsung LE37S86BDX/XEU

Morning all. First time poster, first time reader too. Anyway.

Got a Samsung LE37S86BDX/XEU in the post this morning, lovely looking TV. Problem being all I can see is black. Black or static.
The inbuilt scanning thingummijig doesn't pick up anything on analogue or digital despite my Virgin media box being plugged into Scart 1 and turned on. worked fine on my old TV, some bloated CRT.
Any advice on this particular system's setup procedure that could shed some light? The manual's useless. I know I can receive a signal, mind you, my Wii plays fine.

Oh, also I can find no hide nor hair of this TV's purported Freeview tuner either.

surley scart1 would be ext 1 or ext 2.select this on the remote by cycling thro the options.

Indeed, and this I have done. it just pops up "No signal detected".

Okay. Embarrassingly, the scart lead was just tenuously attached - seems I really need to jam it into the TV.

I still can't find any Freeview details, options, settings or the like, so feel free to aid further.
