Just setup new TH-37pw7 skin tones are all blue

    I just took delivery of my new panny today and have set up as follows.
    DVD panaconic DMR E55 to telewest pace box using scart lead put though a Denon AVR 1905 amp with component lead to sreen all other conecctions are component. Mangaed to get the DVD to play although all people look like the blue chick of Xmen. I have tried adjudting colour but nothing happens. Has anyone got any idea as to whats wrong?

    could be component cables in wrong order?

    Sounds like it could be a video lead issue. Have you tried changing the lead? A good way to sort these things out is to strip your system down and try each one then by trial and error you should be able to indentify the problem. Start by running the DMR-E55 straight into the plasma with component, if it works fine then move on to the set top box etc etc. If you've done all that and its still the same it is a possibilty one of the items is faulty, it does happen! Let us know how you got on!

    Or like mep said which I forgot you could have the component leads in the wrong sockets?

    Is this component to the 'complete' video board, have you set the input on the plasma to 'component', not 'RGB'? Most likely is wrongly connected cables though.

    Mr Inc tried what you said and PQ was fine. It would appear that the cable was knackered I swapped it for another and he presto. Thanks chaps.

    Thanks Maw just saw your reply. Maw have you any idea why when I ordered a TH-37pw7b I got a
    TH-37pw7 any Idea what the diff is. As you can tell I`m new to this game. Have I ended up with an older prod?

    The B just means british stock (power leads etc) as far as i aware all Panasonic models have a regional suffix after the model nuber Eg. B British , DE, Germany. But apart from power leads and country specific warranty they are identicle.
